Debra is a Clinical Nurse Specialist, certified in Wound, Ostomy and Continence Care working at University Health Network. The focus of her inpatient practice is providing complex wound and ostomy consultations and treatment recommendations using evidence based best practice to improve patient care.

As part of her advanced practice role, Debra has participated in the development of several Best Practice Guidelines pertaining to Pressure Injuries, Surgical Wound Care, Enhanced Recovery After Surgery for Patients with an Ostomy, the Prevention and Management of Parastomal Hernias, and the Topical Management of Malignant Cutaneous Wounds.

Debra is a Clinical Faculty member for the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Institute Education Program; an adjust lecturer for the Lawrence S. Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing, University of Toronto; and the Professional Practice Core Program Lead for Nurses Specialized in Wound, Ostomy and Continence Canada (NSWOCC).
