Karineh Kazazian, MD, PhD, FRCSC

Dr. Karineh Kazazian is a surgical oncologist at the University Health Network and Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto. Her clinical focus is on the management of colorectal and gastric cancers using minimally invasive and robotics techniques. Dr. Kazazian completed her residency training in General Surgery and fellowship in Surgical Oncology at the University of Toronto. She subsequently pursued an advanced MIS/robotic colorectal oncology fellowship at UHN. She holds a PhD in cancer biology from the Institute of Medical Sciences, and her academic interests center on translational research into mechanisms of gastric and colorectal tumour progression and treatment resistance. She has a secondary interest in quality in cancer surgery to improve equity in patient care.
